At Journey, we believe that missions are at the heart of living out our faith. Rooted in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), our mission is simple: to go beyond the church walls and make a lasting impact in our community, our nation, and our world. We’re about Winning, Growing, and Sending.​​
Win Every Person
We take every available opportunity to win every person to Christ using every available means (Matt. 28:19-20).
Grow Every Heart
We desire to disciple believers into mature, devoted followers of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
Send Every Person
We aim to encourage believers to share the Gospel with others both locally and globally (Acts 1:8).
How We Do Missions
​​​​1. Local Outreach: We start in our own backyard, meeting needs within our community. This includes food drives, clothing donations, school supply giveaways, and more.

2. National Support: Beyond our city, we partner with other churches and organizations to support relief efforts after natural disasters, provide aid to underserved areas, and uplift struggling communities.

3. Global Partnerships: We partner with missionaries and mission-focused organizations around the world.

4. Personal Involvement: Missions aren’t reserved for "other people" — they’re for everyone. At Journey, we invite you to get involved. Whether it’s through financial support, prayer, or hands-on volunteer work, there’s a role for everyone.​

Our Missions Partners
Impact West Georgia | Carrollton, GA
Impact West Georgia provides a home-like environment, the necessities, and assistance for men working diligently to return to self-sufficient and independent living through the HOPE Center. Impact West Georgia provides veterans access and transportation to the healthcare they have earned and deserve through DESERVE.
Impact West Georgia also provides books for underserved children and materials/resources for adults learning to read for the first time through ACE. In everything Impact West Georgia does they do through the love of Jesus Christ in order to spread the good news. Please keep Impact West Georgia in your prayers.
Ohio Backpacks Outreach
Each year, our church’s Ohio Mission Team travels to four partner churches, delivering backpacks filled with supplies for local families in need. These backpacks are prayed over—asking God to use them to open hearts to the Gospel and to share the life-changing love of Christ in each community we serve. Please contact Renee Nix for more info.
Mission Mbale | Mbale, Uganda
Headquartered in Newnan, GA, Mission Mbale, Inc. is a nonprofit committed to “transforming futures and hopes through the love of Jesus… one child at a time.” Mission Mbale serves the vulnerable children of the Namatala slum near Mbale, Uganda—an area with high poverty, orphanhood, and limited resources.

Through Christ-centered child sponsorship, Mission Mbale provides education, daily meals, healthcare, lodging, and discipleship for each child.
​
Rooted in the Ebenezer Christian Ministries campus, their work includes outreach efforts like feeding programs, school construction, medical clinics, and more—all aimed at breaking the cycle of spiritual and physical poverty.​
Pregnancy Resource Center | Carrollton, GA
The Pregnancy Resource Center is a compassionate, non-profit medical ministry dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing unintended pregnancies across Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties in West Georgia. Operating under the supervision of licensed medical professionals, PRC provides free and confidential services including pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, pregnancy options counseling, prenatal education, parenting classes, post-abortion support, fatherhood mentoring, material goods assistance, and more.​​
West Georgia FCA
West Georgia FCA is a local chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes serving Carroll, Haralson, and Heard counties. With a vision to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes, FCA hosts over 170 weekly “Huddles,” engages 70+ teams, and reaches around 4,000 people weekly. Through camps, Bible studies, coaches’ ministry, and community outreach, West Georgia FCA equips and empowers leaders in sports to live out their faith on and off the field.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering supports international missions, named after Lottie Moon, a missionary to China who dedicated her life to spreading the gospel. The offering provides critical funding for missionaries, their families, and projects in areas with limited Christian resources.
Our church gives to this offering because we believe in the power of global missions and want to support those sharing the gospel worldwide. By contributing, we join a collective effort to spread Christ’s message and impact lives beyond our local community.
New Creation Ministries | Haralson County, GA
New Creation Ministries builds relationships and opportunities to share the gospel by providing free meals, clothes, music, Bible lessons, and activities through a mobile cafe. God has lead New Creation Ministries to reach individuals and families living in extended-stay locations.
New Creation Ministries also takes part in summer camps, family adventure day, backyard Bible clubs, birthday parties for Jesus, school supply giveaways, and more. Please keep New Creation Ministries in your prayers.
Annie Armstrong Easter Offering
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering is an annual fundraising campaign that supports North American missions, named after Annie Armstrong, a dedicated missionary who advocated for missions in the U.S. and Canada. The offering funds church planting, evangelism, and resources for missionaries working across North America.

Our church gives to this offering because we want to support missionaries in our own continent, helping spread the gospel in areas where it's needed most. By contributing, we partner with others to make an impact in North America and fulfill the Great Commission right here at home.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a global initiative by Samaritan’s Purse that provides gift-filled shoeboxes to children in need around the world. The boxes are filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items, sharing the love of Christ with children in over 100 countries.

Our church participates in Operation Christmas Child because we believe in reaching out to children with the hope of the gospel through simple acts of kindness. By packing a shoebox, we are able to bring joy, show God’s love, and make a lasting impact on children in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
Howard Brooks | Carroll County, GA
Howard Brooks is the Carroll County Chaplin and a North American Mission Board Service Corp Missionary. Please keep Howard Brooks in your prayers as he continues to follow the call of Christ in sharing the Gospel.
Anna and Michael Eudy | Guatemala
God has called the Eudys to serve Christ full time in Guatemala. There they strive to teach English while also sharing the love for Christ to all of the people of Guatemala. Please keep Anna and Michael in your prayers.
Nathan and Summer Barkley | Alaska

Based in Anchorage, Alaska, the Barkly family—including Nathan, his wife, Summer, and their daughter, August—serve full-time with Mosaic Campus Ministry at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Driven by a calling to share the Gospel with young adults, The Barklys focus on helping students grow in their faith as they navigate their education and transition into their future careers. The family remains deeply grateful for the ongoing prayers and support they receive in this mission.​
Word of Life | West Georgia and East Alabama
David and Angie Gentry have been working with the Word of Life Ministry since 2000 to reach the students and children of the West Georgia and East Alabama area. With the Lord's help, they aim to reach a youth whose culture is constantly changing with Biblical truth that never changes.
The Gentry family partners with local churches to reach the youth of today by sharing the Gospel. Please keep the Gentry family in your prayers as they continue to follow the call of God.
Polk-Haralson Baptist Association | Polk and Haralson County, GA
Polk-Haralson Baptist Association Ministries include: PHBAssembly-Camp Antioch Children's home-Polk Co., Alzheimer's Closet, and Disaster Relief. Polk-Haralson Baptist Association partners with CCC - in Haralson County and Community Share Ministries - in Polk County.
