Living According to God’s Design | Genesis 1–2 | Journey Fellowship Baptist Church
Welcome to Journey Fellowship Baptist Church! In this message, John Yates kicks off a new sermon series, "God's Amazing Grace," taking us through the book of Genesis. Beginning with Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth," this sermon explores how God intentionally designed creation, humanity, marriage, and rest—and how His Word provides answers to life's biggest questions.

The Creation Account | Genesis 1-2 | Journey Fellowship Baptist Church
What does the Bible teach us about the beginning of everything? In Genesis 1–2, we see the power, nature, and purpose of God revealed through His creation of the universe, mankind, the Garden of Eden, and the first marriage. As part of the “God’s Amazing Grace” series, this message explores the opening chapters of Genesis and the truth that “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). We’ll see how creation points us to the Triune God, how mankind is uniquely created in God’s image, and how God established His design for marriage and the family from the very beginning. This message also connects Genesis with the New Testament, showing that creation was accomplished through Christ, the eternal Word (John 1:1–3; Colossians 1:16).

Declare His Mighty Acts | Psalm 145:4; Matthew 9:35-38 | Journey Fellowship Baptist Church
David determined to declare the greatness of God and refused to keep His mighty works to himself. In Matthew 9, Jesus saw the great spiritual need around Him and was moved with compassion for the lost, calling His disciples to pray, go, and serve in the harvest. The harvest is still plentiful, and the call is still the same: Pray Now. Go Now. Share Now. In this message, we are challenged to exalt the mighty acts of the Lord, recognize the spiritual lostness around us, and faithfully take part in the work of reaching people with the Gospel.

Persevere in Service | Acts 21-23 | Journey Fellowship Baptist Church
Have you ever felt discouraged, exhausted, or ready to quit serving God? In this message from Acts 21–23, we discover how the Apostle Paul remained faithful through arrests, imprisonment, opposition, and suffering while continuing to fulfill God's calling on his life. His example reminds us that God strengthens His people to persevere and finish the race He has set before them. In this sermon, you'll learn why a healthy church family is essential, how the support of a godly home encourages faithful living, what it means to have a determined heart for the mission of Jesus Christ, and how God's presence gives believers confidence even in life's hardest moments. If you've been struggling with discouragement, this biblical message will encourage you to keep trusting God and keep serving faithfully. The Urgency of Time | Ecclesiastes 3 | Journey Fellowship Baptist Church
Time is one of God's greatest gifts, but it is also one of our greatest limitations. Every second that passes is a reminder that life is moving forward according to God's perfect plan. The Bible teaches that there is a time for every purpose under heaven, but it also warns that the opportunity to respond to Christ and share the Gospel will not last forever.

All Praise to the Lord | Psalm 33 | Journey Fellowship Baptist Church
Why do we praise God, and how should we do it? In this sermon, we dive deep into Psalm 33 to understand the call, the reason, and the ultimate resolve of our praise to the Lord. As Charles Spurgeon once said regarding our worship, "Well-bred whispers are disreputable here... it is natural for great exultation to express itself in the loudest manner." Join us as we look at why the Lord is worthy of our loudest hosannas and our deepest trust.
